First Clio podium!

The race was delayed due to a new part of the circuit getting damaged, so they had to put new tyre bails in place to stop people using it for safety reasons. We finally got away at around 5.25 and I made a good start although not as good as my new team mate who moved in front.

Around the first corner one of the leaders got a slide on, and into the second carnage broke out as a result. I had gone down to 12th by the first corner, however I went up the inside of my team mate and a load of others, through the carnage to find myself 5th after the first corner. I got past 4th place man Bonham on the 2nd lap, and then chased down 3rd placed Packun for the next 5.

I finally hussled him into a mistake and took 3rd around 2.5 seconds off 2nd place man Luke Wright. On to the final lap it started to drizzle, conditions I love, and I gained a massive amount of time on the 2 leaders, finishing just 0.8 seconds off the win and 0.3 seconds off 2nd, a great result, my first Clio podium, and at my home circuit.

Over the moon is an understatement!
