Friday - Qualifying
After a broken damper at the End of Q1 in Position 6 the car was unlikely to be able to start Q2 for the pole position shoot out. But the Target Competition guys showed true determination and after just 8 minutes a new damper was in.  With only 3min left in Q2 Files went out – in only 1 lap on cold new tyres  Files achieved a great P8 for Race 1 and because of the reverse Grid regulation a P3 for Race 2.

Saturday - Race 1
A Rocket Start saw Files take the lead of the race through turn 1 on lap 1! The race was interrupted twice with Safety Car Periods due to multiple incidents – this bunched the field up but with two excellent safety car restarts Josh was never challenged in the lead, taking the win comfortably by the flag.

Sunday - Race 2
Starting from P3 he managed make another rocket start to be in the lead before turn 1! It was a Lights to flag win made more impressive by his 30kg extra success ballast carried over from Round 1.

The weekend means he is leading the Drivers championship by 55 Points over nearest rival Van de Linde and the Teams Championship 37 Points clear.

 “I’d like to personally thank my 2 mechanics Christian and Richard for getting that damper repaired in just 8 minutes. Without their effort and the rest of the guys who chipped in the wins we achieved wouldn’t have been possible! I love Red Bull Ring, its a track I always go well at, and I am very proud and happy to take 2 wins! Maybe I should break the car more often as it seems to be a good luck charm” Laughed Files.
 

Next Round ADAC TCR Germany will be held on the 7th – 9th July  in Oschersleben.
