Josh Files is heading to Nürburgring for the 5th round of the TCR Championship this weekend. After the whirlwind weekend in Zandvoort Files is looking to repeat last year’s Nürburgring result which saw him twice on the podium, with a win and a third place.
Files doesn’t have to carry any success ballast for the weekend and he will be looking to further extend his already large 104 point championship lead before the final two rounds in September.
“I’m really excited to be back in Nürburgring. Last year we took a win and another podium on the reverse grid, and this time I am aiming for the same. In Zandvoort I made a wrong tyre choice but still managed a podium, and then in race 2 we had a very strange gearbox problem that would normally never be heard of. But that's motorsport! The Target boys have done an amazing job over the very small gap to prepare my car and go through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything is working perfectly. We will be fast this weekend, I am sure of it!"
Free Practice 1 (40min) starts early morning on Friday, Free Practice 2 (30min) before lunchtime followed by the important Qualifying in the afternoon. Races (each 30 min) will be held on Saturday and Sunday lunch time.
