FILES HEADING TO GERMANY FOR THE SACHSENRING SHOWDOWN

Josh Files is on the verge of a second German title in this weekend’s Sachsenring TCR event.
With a 77-point lead and few rounds remaining, it’s getting harder for the competition to make
inroads into the Brits points lead. In fact, Sunday could see Files become double TCR Germany champion.

After the Nurburgring round victory number 4 this season, and his 10th overall in the German series,
Files is ever confident of strong results heading into the weekend ahead.

“Nurburgring was really great. It was nice to be back winning again, and even better to have a great fight on track
with my 2 closest rivals” Exclaimed the brit. “Obviously race 2 was less than ideal but that’s motorsport”

As always there will be two 30minute races, 2 free practice sessions and the all-important qualifying
to take place in the picturesque hills of the Sachsen circuit, located just 50km from the Czech border.

“I’m really looking forward to racing again in Sachsenring. Target Competition have done an amazing job
to prepare the car after Nurburgring, and it’s our first time here with the Honda so it’s new territory for all of us.
I love the high speed nature of the track and the little run off areas as it favours the brave! Like always we will be
pushing from the start, winning is what we work so hard for!”

Track action starts on Friday at 9.30am with official free practice 1. The races will again be shown live on Sport1+ and live stream on the official ADAC TCR website.
The timetable looks like this for the weekend:

Quali  17:40 - 18:40
Saturday
