FILES RACES FOR ROUND 2 OF TCR EUROPE IN ZANDVOORT

After a trying first race weekend in Le Castellet 2 weeks ago, the Hell Energy Racing with KCMG driver is looking to make a return to the podium in the second round of the season held in Zandvoort, the Netherlands.
 

The 27 old driver is currently lying 5thin the Driver standings after finishing 4th and 15th in Paul Ricard last time out. With circuit knowledge of Zandvoort courtesy of TCR Germany heading there in both years Files took part in the championship, he is hoping for a much stronger showing in his new for 2018 Honda Civic FK7 Type R TCR car.
 
“Zandvoort is an amazing circuit in amazing surroundings. It really favours the brave due to its undulations and close walls. In some areas it really feels like a street circuit.” Files said
 
“It’s always going to be a close competition in TCR Europe as the calibre of drivers is very high. I’m happy I’ve at least been to the circuit before, and I’m hoping that knowledge along with my intense event preparation will help me get back on to the podium this weekend”
 
TCR Europe supports the FIA World Touring Car Cup for the first time and unusually for TCR Europe, Both Free Practice Sessions and Qualifying will take part Saturday 19thMay, with Race 1 Sunday followed by the final race on Monday, of which both are broadcast live on Motorsport.tv channel and local TV along with TCR’s usual live stream available online.
 
Free practice 1 kicks off at 9.50 CET Saturday 19th May.
