THE PENULTIMATE ROUND OF TCR EUROPE HEADS TO MONZA, ITALY

Josh Files and his HELL Energy racing team by KCMG head to the last but one round of TCR Europe at the infamous temple of speed, Monza. On the back of some strong results for the team in the previous round Assen, Files and team mate Attila Tassi will be looking for more wins and podiums heading into the teams ‘home’ race in a bid to edge closer to the teams’ title.

“Assen had so many positives. I was pole position with blistering pace that was virtually unrivalled and my team mate managed to win the reverse grid race. We are making progress in leaps and bounds and now it’s about time the race results showed that more frequently” Said Files

The 27-year-old endured a tougher couple of races in Assen, with a steering issue and race ending contact leading to just a total of just 6 points at the Netherlands round.

“I thought we just had some bad luck previously. I’ve decided now that luck doesn’t exist, because frankly we are passed bad luck, and I don’t think there is any terminology for that.”

“This weekend is our pseudo home race; I know we will be strong even if we do have to carry the maximum ballast. I personally have nothing to lose now, so the intention is to be fighting for wins in both races to score maximum points in a bid for the teams’ championship”

“I’m mathematically in with a shot at the drivers’ title too, but realistically that ended in race 1 at Assen. This is motorsport though, and as we know anything really can happen! One thing I guarantee is I will be pushing as hard as ever for some well overdue wins!”

The Italian round will begin with 2 free practice sessions Friday 21st September. The two-part qualifying session will commence Saturday morning with race 1 broadcast on live TV at 17.30 CET. Race 2 will follow on Sunday at 12.05 CET. As always both races will also be live streamed on social media and the TCR TV Youtube channel.
